6 speed tranny update.
well guys, i have been experimenting lately on the way i drive my truck to see if it shifts any differently. i did find out a thing or two. at first i tried to shift it at a different points in the rpm band. i found out that it did seem to shift smoother at a higher rpm range(3000-3500). but the thing i found to have the greatest effect was how fast i shifted. the faster i shifted the smoother it went into the next gear. but, you also have to have the clutch fully engaged to shift it fast or you will be grindin syncros. for you fellas that are havin trouble (fortyfords), give this a try and see if it helps any. let us know what comes of it.
