i have a '87 f- 150 5.0L efi. i also have an '88 ford thunderbird
with 5.0L efi. was wanting to take intake off the 't-bird and put it on my trucks 5.0 both engines run really well. my question is will this swap work, is it worth the time & money and will it make any difference in performance. any advise much appreciated
you should consider that the manifold for the thunderbird and f150 were both designed for specific applications. the thunderbird is designed to run differently than an f150. the engines produce power differently (RPM range, loads, etc.) even though they are the same, at least as far as size 5.0L.
