I have searched everywhere and can not find a turn signal switch for my 1976 F-250 anywhere. The stops for the cam are broken which would be fine except it only allows one brake light or the other to light unless it is in exactly the right spot, its so touchy that without someone staring at the brake light and me moving the turn signal lever ever so slightly for several minutes I can't get it in the right position. The engine on our POS car died and i really need to get this thing inspected!
I should add it is the switch for the 250 with Auto trans, no tilt, and with cruise control.
I got one from ford a few years ago (?6?). They might still carry it. The one for cruise equipped trucks is different than non-cruise.
When you do go to replace it, the plastic connector disassembles and goes onto the new harness. Use one or two of the old wires to pull one or two string up the column to pull the new wires down the column. I use a string more than 2X as long as the column with a slip knot in the middle. Then pull on the bottom of the string to install a wire then pull the same string back up for the next wire.
