The little research I did it would seem that if it is a napco it would not be stock ford used there own 4x4 systems I also could find vary few as in just one napco unit online in a ford and it was a 36 PU but who knows what a deeler could of done if it is a NAPCO it + being an f700 would make one heck of a tank

Ford offered there own 4x4 like 66xmas said, but it was only up to the f-350 models. So napco converted the larger trucks to whom ever needed one. Ford usually delt with marmon herrington, but napco was also used. So yes, a napco unit would be period correct. -4speed
