A4ld

My A4LD automatic tranny is going in my 4x4 86 Bronco 2. I found one out of an 87 aerostar. Does anyone know if I can swap the 2 of them?

I've read on this forum that they are compatible.. but the aerostar tranny isn't as tough as the stock B II tranny. Something to consider if 4 wheeling is involved .

I dont think a 2wd aerostar tranny will fit in a 4wd bronco. No place to hook transfer case.
