Opinions please
There's a local Credit Union that has a '99 Lightning for sale with 87K miles on it. Cosmetically it looks very good but I haven't had the chance to drive it yet. They are asking $17.5K for it. That many miles scares me to death. How much would an eventual rebuild cost? I know about the intercooler recall and will check to see if it's been serviced.

Price dont sound too bad, Miles scare me too! get as much info in it as you can, it may have led a hard life!
also if you are really serious about buying, why not spend a few $$ and have it checked over top to bottom by a trained SVT tech?
