improving ride with shocks
I'm switching from stock P235 70/R16 tires to taller stiffer rubber probably either LT 235 85/R16 or LT 265 75/R16.
I know the LTs will ride more harshly but was wondering if changing the shocks would help any. All travel is city/highway roads.
Truck is 1998 150 4x4. Has a pretty stiff ride already. Shocks are still original, only 51,000 miles but since I'm swapping rubber it's already past time to switch out the shocks.
I don't really mind the ride but don't know if shocks can make a difference when switching from P to LT tires.

Buy the tires, feel out the ride, then decide if you need shocks. Buying the saddle before the horse just doesnt work out.
I dont think you'll notice too much difference.
But I've been wrong once twice. Maybe the other way around.
