add-on diff choices
OK, I have read all of the threads about open and closed diffs and have gotten a headache out of reading all of them. I know the difference between open an ls. My question is about my truck. 2000 psd 250 extended cab short bed. When I found it used I was so excited about it that I didn't think to check for limited slip. I need it. I am a contractor who needs to drive at job sites, and well let me tell you the open diff doesn't cut it. I also plow with the truck and have gotten it stuck a few times. So what I want to know is will I be better off to change the carrier to a ls? Or can I add one of those lockers that replaces the spiders in the existing open diff.

You can do lotsa stuff...you have to make the choice...Locker or LS. Everyone knows what I like cause I can't put up with lacko traction.....There are some good ls's out there I think one is all gears there's lotsa stuff...I'll post a link.

there is also a lockright and a no slip(better lockright) but fot that price I'd buy the whole diff...
