Hesitation Problem
I have a 2001 psd w/24000 miles & auto trans.. Two weeks ago, the temp was around 0 degrees f. I did not have the block heater plugged in. When I started the truck it would not move. About 1 minute later it ran fine. It sat in my garage for about 2 weeks at app. 45 deg. & did the same thing. I also notice when I'm towing that it does not seem to have the boost as usual. The ford garage said that it was probably a fuel issue. Any info is appreciated.

I have a '99 with 95K and had it in the shop twice since May '03 with the first being diagnosed exhaust back pressure sensor and a reflash. It helped immensely. Next was Christmas week with the same tired symptoms this time diagnosed no known problem other than the stock T/C rattling. They ordered and replaced it for (gag-gag) $1045. I really can't tell it done any good other than maybe I don't hear the rattlle. But who can really tell with these cackling rascals. I'm thinking it is time to change the fuel filter, it does have 15K on it and clean the screen in the filter housing and maybe the ebps tube. Even tired it still is a awesome machine.
