Did the rears in about 3 hours this morning and passed my inspection. These ART rotors and pads take all the sport out of driving. There's no shaking, jerking, or pulling when I hit the brakes. This will take a while to get used to.
What color loctite should be used when putting the brakes back together? I didn't use any when I put them back together last week. I checked the torque after the trip to North Carolina and didn't notice any bolts being loose. Called today about getting all new bolts for the brakes and they're going to be $72.00. I was thinking about getting those in and then using the loctite. I bought a tube of Red Medium when I was getting all the stuff for the brake job, but wasn't sure whether to use it or not. Only a couple of the bolts are rounded a little bit so I might not replace all 16 bolts.
Mine is a 4x4 and picture 2 no studs is what my rotors look like. They slip over the 4 wheel drive hub. I would presume picture 1 is for a 2 wheel drive where there is no 4 wheel drive hubs. I am not 100% sure but that would make perfect sense imho.
