Overdirve / O.D. Does not work at all.

Overdirve / O.D. Does not work at all.
I have a 1999 Superduty Diesel and the Overdrive / O.D. button does not work at all (the light does not come on either).Is this a fuse or what? Any product recall on this type of item?
