Exhaust wrap

Considering using exhaust wrap when get around to purchasing the headers. Looks like a roll of fabric that comes in couple different widths. Wondering if any members have use, if so would you recommend.

Any input would be appreciated,

Thanx,
dave

From what I have found out doing research, they do more harm than good. They trap moisture and various road crud (salt and sand is the big killer if you live in the northern states). What are you looking at for headers? Ceramic coated headers will provide more or less the same result.

Exactly what i was looking for. Am concerned about the salt, sand, and moisture. Checked around and could not find anyone who has tried the 'exhaust wrap' so thought i would post the question.

Into performance, not as much appearance. If decide on headers, likely get standard steel 'made in USA' quality brand.

Thanx again, really appreciate the input.
