93' f-150
I currently have a 93' f150 ext cab short box...it's only a 2wheel drive and i am looking to make it 4 i was just curious on what year frames i can put the body on so i wouldn't have to do a whole lot of custom stuff...any help would be appreciated!

That article should give you some decent ideas on what you need & where to start.
You don't need a new frame, just buy the 4X4 componets you need & it will all fit under your curent truck.

That article makes it sound easy. I would love to do the same thing, but it is a major project. (Skill level 3 out of 4 required to build this project)
Your problem: you are probably in love with your truck (aren't we all?) and are itching to make her run better.
You may just want to consider a trade-in for a factory 4by4. Buying a new truck is as simple as signing your life away and making 36 easy payments.
I didn't see any mention of prices either, is it cheaper to buy a used 93 4x4 or do the mod???? Between NAPA, the junkyard, and Ford parts, I think you'll be about 1500 to 2000 dollars poorer...but wiser.
