Additional Driving Lights?

Has anyone installed additional driving/fog lamps on their 4x2 in the area below the bumper where the tow hooks are for the 4x4's? It appears to be a great area but when I checked the cavity, it doesn't have a flat top or back area. Any suggestions, pics?

dgordon,

I'll try this again. My keyboard went spaztic on me. I installed a set of small driving lights in the area you mentioned. I drilled holes into the upper portion of the opening and installed the mounting brackets and drilled a seperate hole to feed the wires through. They work great.

oneagle1,

I'd be interested in seeing that area up close... If you could, my good man, can you take another picture? Plus, The lights look real small and compact. How do they work in conjunction with the tow hooks? Thanks

JustJimmy, Ok I uploaded a couple of photos of my aftermarket driving lights. As you can see I don't have the tow hooks so my installation was not very difficult. I purchased the lights at Wal-Mart for $34.95 originally to install on my Firebird. I wanted driving lights but I don't favor the factory option (bumber insert) style. One Saturday afternoon I was bored and I decided to see how the lights would look so I held them up to the opening and they looked so good I decided to install them and you now know the whole story.

Nice job oneagle1. I posted a while back to see if anyone has mounted their lights behind the grill. There seems to be plenty of room there, and a few good places to mount. I'm thinking of mounting a set of Light Force's there.
