i had both and personally i think superchips microtuners performance is much better than diablo predators. However you can upgrade the predator and it has a much more advanced diagnostic scanner than the microtuner has. I would buy the superchips microtuner unless you want the added advantage of live diagnostics. But no matter which one you get i would also get a pyrometer and mount it pre-turbo . Hope this helps you out man.
I can't speak for the superchip tuner because i have the predator, but the biggest reason i chose diablo is because all future updates to the tuner will be free of charge and you don't have to send it in, you just download from the website and you are good to go where as with the superchip microtuner, you not only have to pay for any upgrades buy you have to send the unit in and run stock while it is reprogrammed with the update.....Supposedly the predator has lower egt's as well, who knows??? the predator is definately more cost effective in the sense that it is a one time investment reguardless. The superchip will cost you if you want the latest programs available upon release....... Hope that helped?? Do get the pyrometer if nothing else..

Thanks to all you Ford Powerstrokers, I have made up my mind to get a Predator, but found it 50.00 cheaper from a place in Idaho than what was quoted to me by phone from Motorhaven.
Thanks, Jerry. The other problem I have is how do I re-calibrate the speedometer since its 7 mph faster with 35" tires?.......ideas?
in response to 02psd4me post. the posts you read probably were referring to the previous version of the predator because up until the latest version with the 100hp setting and altitude program, they did require you to send the unit in for the upgrades while they were still free. Now it is possible to download the latest updates for free using the PC Port on the unit.
