I have noticed a vibration that seems to come from the left front of my truck (1999 sd 250 4/4 V10) around 40 to 45 mph,I had the wheels rotated and spin balanced but still have the vibration.
Also I have a squeak in the steering wheel that seems to be comming from the boot at the bottom of the steering wheel, ant body had similar problems.
The front vibration could be the sign of a worn bearing. But will need a better description of the vibration to really help. Does it only happen at that speend? Is it affected by turning the wheel? Braking? Do you feel it in the wheel? If so, which way does it move? Up & down or side to side? etc. etc.
If you reply, try to be as specific as you can. I'm sure something you say will spark a memory in someone else here that may have heard or experienced the same thing.
As for the sqeaky steering wheel, squirt the offending area with some WD-40.
I have 17,586 miles on it you can feel the vibration in the steering wheel only slightly when I switch over to 4 wheel noise and vibration get slightly louder and when I switch back to 2 wheel it takes a long time to come out of four wheel sometimes I alost have to stop to here it release also I have noticed it at around 2000 rpm
