What do you mean by yellow, like its a clear bulb, burns yellow, or do you mean orange? Mine came with Orange bulbs, since its illegeal to have clear corners with clear bulbs. You can go to the local auto parts store or hardware store and get yourself some orange ones if you like.
I think the reason to have clear corners is to have the healight and corner assembly appear to be one unit.
I think it would look best on the EDGE Rangers or the ones that have the color matched bumpers.
RE: Blue Dot... Those were popular in the 50's with the street rods weren't they? I don't know enough of the 50's street rods but I DO love the muscle car era... but I still love those land yachts of the 50's... especially the vehicles with the HUGE fins...
Here is a pic with clear corners on my 03 Ranger. I curently have the clear bulbs in there but will be putting the amber ones back in when it thaws out here. On the amber bulbs just go to auto part store and get some silver or aluminum high temp paint and put a thin coat of paint on them. They will look silver but flash amber keeping you legal. This way you don't have the nice looking clear corners and an ugly amber bulb in them.
On my 99, there is a turn signal, a corner lamp, and the headlight. The corner lamp is the clear one with the amber bulb. It doesnt flash, but only comes on as a park light. I also posted about putting in a clear bulb. I accidentally bought the Turn signal bulbs, and keep forgetting to take them back.
Could someone "illuminate" (sorry) me on why it would be illegal to have clear bulbs in your corner lamps? Are you talking about the turn signal indicators? If you are, aren't those a single piece orange plastic wrap-around on the bottom of the lamp assembly? Maybe I never looked close enough, but on mine the sequence is Headlight, clear side illuminators, and wrap-around orange turn signal unit on the bottom.
i'm talking about my 94, the assembly is different. The turn signal indicator is the corner piece. I'm pretty sure for it to be legal in minnesota, you need to have the turn indicator with an orange bulb, or either a clear bulb with an orange lens. so one way or another you get a orange light flashing instead of a yellow or white one. I suppose you could have clear bulbs and clear corner lenses on the 98,99, since it doents flash when you turn (right?)
yeah thats what i was thinking, but i dont know if its legal to have a clear light there either, since it is designed to reflect light in all directions.
