I've been messing around today,working on a plan for what I want to get when I buy my new F-350.Some that I had been building at Ford Direct's website were going to run $40k+,so I went to their Commercial Truck site and I built an F-350 there.They had more on the lines of what I wanted.I ended up building a 2004 F-350 4x4 DRW XLT 141" wheelbase for $35k even.It is a cab and chassis,but I have worked out the plan for a bed also.BTW,the 141" wheelbase is a regular cab/short bed design.

Listed below are some of the options that I chose:

I think that's about it lol.I'm stumped on my paint color.I think that I'm going to go with Ford's Medium Wedgewood Blue Clearcoat Metallic.I'm between it and their Black Clearcoat.

Here is the bed that I'm looking at.It comes as shown,but it will be matched to my truck's paint color.You can take the virtual tour provided at that link and you can see for yourself just how versitle it really is.Of course,they want $7,000 for it lol.I like it though .I think that it would look good on an F-350.There's a pic of it on an F-550 and it's sharp .

So does everything look okay?I know that I would probably come out about the same buying a "regular" F-350,but I found what I wanted and I think that's what I'll go with.Of course,it's going to have to be special ordered and all.No problem there though .

I'll probably go closer to the end of this year or next year to get it.I just love to plan ahead,as you can see .

What kind of tires do you suggest?I was thinking Michelin's,but I don't know.I've never bought tires for a Heavy-Duty Vehicle before.
