The stock LSD on my 99 SD V10 4X4 (60K miles) is just about useless. Only one wheel will spin enve on slippery surfaces. Is the pre-load adjustable on these units and if so how.? Any aftermarket options? Sorry if this topic has been discussed but the search feature on the forum doesn't seem to be working at the moment.
I didn't know Ford was into LSD! They should change the motto from "Have you driven a Ford lately?" to "Have you. . .wow. . .look at the colors man! Hey are the walls supposed to melt like that?"
Ok enough goofing, someone will be along to help ya out.

When is the last time you changed the fluid? Could be breakdown and the friction modifier is going (gone) away.
Maybe all you need is fresh lube and a dose of the fric mod??
