I am getting a lift and 35" tires installed this week. I have 3.73 and the V10. Does anybody with experience have any suggestions to whether or not a gear change would be necessary.
Also in a 4x4 is the gear ratio 3.73 at both ends? And when you replace gears do you only replace the rear for better gas mileage and power or do you have to replace both?
any info would be great, thanks!
I have 35" BFG's and "3.73" on my 2000 CC V-10. I would agree that there is most likely not enough change to warrant the cost of a gear upgrade, but you will notice it, especially if you are towing.
I'll agree with the other guys, and say it probably isn't worth the trouble to change the gears. I have 3.73's and 33 inch tires (255/85). The added height was noticeable, but not bad at all. I'm also putting on a lift kit and 35's this weekend.
