Dealer mess-up
#31
I just bought a 1999 F350 7.3L Powerstroke Lariat Dually. As I have never owned a diesel and mostly owned Chevrolet (do not throw rotten fruit please) I have no idea of how to take care of my truck. I usually buy a manual etc. and only do the most basic stuff like changing the oil, filters etc. I understand the diesels are a little touchy and wouldn't want to damage anything in my ignorance. Any suggestions on Haynes or Chilton's or perhaps another manual?

tshinman.....
to get better, more-accurate response to your question, are you able to create a new thread yet?
If so, title it something like: "Questions on how to maintain my new F350"
And people will help.
Otherwise, it may get lost in this thread, and you'll think no one cares, but we DO!
Welcome aboard, and congrats on your new truck! Rotten fruit is ALL in the past now!
[if you can't create a new thread, let me know, and I'll start one for you, that you can check for answers]

Well Guys...they brought out my "Loaner Lariat" this morning and after a 2 hour drive I can see what all of you are bragging about...WHAT A GREAT RIDE...GREAT TRUCK!!!...not big on this wedgewood blue, but I can hang in there until my toreador red one gets here...Thanks again for all your support and advice!!
Ford sure needs a bigger wheel and tire option on these trucks...can't wait to start adding the goodies !!!!!!!!!!!
