Cool Exhaust

Hey i was wondering if anyone knows this or not? I have 01 Escape V6 4wd. I wanted to get dual exhaust and i know you can get the dual exhaust from gibson thats cat-back..but does anyone know if i can do it with new headers and dual exhaust with new headers and all that ?? Any recommedations? i primarily want to do it for performance. is there a significat different or no? i know the price will be more too.

You will get more performance with headers, true, but it's not really significant unless you are racing somewhere. You will create a lot more engine and cabin noise with headers. At some speeds it will drive you or your passengers crazy and/or give you a headache!

Any competent muffler shop can make a custom set of duals or a free flowing catback system for far less than you can buy them online where they are way overpriced.

exhaust

Hey thanks a lot for that info, I never even thought about the noise factor, a good point. SO i think i'll just get the cat back system. Thanks a lot, if you have any ideas on which ones are great that offer a combo of performance and style with a little less nosie would be very much appreciated. Thank you

I'm happy with a Dynomax Ultraflow muffler. Nice sound, pleasant inside. Outside it's similar to a Mustang Cobra. Not too loud and it's very effecient. A straight through design with continuous strand fiberglas packing. See www.dynomax.com

Hope this helps.
