i recently picked up a '85 airporter bus based on an E350 base.The 460 engine purrs ever so nice(when i bypass the wiring challenges I'm having),but I'm wondering if there's any modifications/adjusts I can make to stretch the mileage?? .......................cheers!!

 

I had an 88 460 in a F350 Dually....The best I ever got was 10 miles per gallon, going about 60 miles an hour on a small highway. The old three speed tranmissions do not help you out. The good new it it doesn't get much worse. The worst I ever got was 8.3 MPG pulling a trailer with two cars on it.
