Am I Crazy?

I presently have a 2001 excursion - diesal. I love it, it certainly gets my family around.

I am seriously considering trading it in for a f150 FX4 -

My wife's a littlle upset, but I love the pick up. All my children have cars of their own - anyway.

Am I downgrading my choice? Should I stay with the excursion?

I wouldn't call it down grading. Have you driven the F-150? If anything I call it an upgrade unless you use it for heavy towing. Excursion is rated to tow about 1,000 lbs more.--Jack

Go for the F-150 and put a lid on the back. You can't go wrong with this combo!! Unless, of course you won't be able to reconcile with your wife.

Good luck.

I got a Leer cap installed on mine. The first thought that came to mind when I saw the finished product was that it looked like an Excursion. I've never driven one, but I will bet you'll like driving the F150 better. Handles like a dream. I had a Navigator for a couple of years - this truck is head and shoulders better for drivability.
