[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-May-02 AT 11:52 PM (EST)]does anybody know if the 4 : 10 gears will fit on the 3 : 73 carrier assembly of a ifs dana 50??? also, does anybody know how interchangeable the parts are between the ifs dana 50 and the 8 bolt ifs dana 44? if anybody has any info on these two front ends i would appreciate it if they could *** it along. thanks.

I believe all Dana's carrier split is at 3.73 or higher. You should be fine.
Also, from what I understand, the D50 and D44 IFS share the same guts, just different outers (knuckles out). The inners are still D44. The D50 gets the 1 ton outers.

thats it what i was thinkin about the carrier also. i am not sure about the guts part though. i have a 44 third member and a 50 third member and when you compare the 2 the 50 has more space cut out fer the ring gear. also the 44 has ifs 44 cast inside of the third member, the 50 doesnt. thanks fer the quick response man, i appreciate it.
