Im looking into buying a 1977 F-250 high boy with a 351/400M, it might be a 76 with a different front clip, not sure. But im positive its the factory lifted truck. It has problems, its $300, rear end it out, has one ready to put in, and the headers are rusted through. This thing is pretty rough but its a clean title and solid base and good motor. Im wondering what the cheapest headers for this thing is, for the time being...I saw that summit had some for this for $80 but they say only works with "low boy" would these work? and help would be wonderful, and the cheaper the better, i plan to upgrade someday, so dont worry about quality i just need something on there for now, i am in high school and have a tight tight budget....gotta start sumwhere. thanks
If it is a '76 and has a 351/400m engine than that is not factory. As the '76 came out with the FE engines (360, 390, etc.).
If you are planning to replace the cheap headers some day with quality headers then I suggest just install the factory exhaust manifolds. Take a trip to you local salvage yard and pick-up a set.
Those header's will not fit a highboy because the highboy has a different frame than the "low" boy. Sorry.
