no h-pipe will work for a 4x4, the transfer case is in the way... have to run dual pipes through the stock routing unless you don't mind you exhaust dagleing down below the truck
I agree with rebel_ford4x4... take it to a muffler shop other than the typical midas, meineke, etc. Summitracing also has a setup that I'm running, but I can't remember if it's 4x4 AND 4x2 or not.
Ah, transfercase. That's what I wasn't thinking of. I knew there was some reason I couldn't use the h-pipe. Thanks guys. Now I'll just have to find a shop that will do it. The muffler shop I normally use won't do it cause there's only one cat. Weird cause we don't even have to have our vehicles inspected anymore.
We don't have inspections either. Local muffler shops are fined $2,000 for removing a catalytic converter but apparently an individual can without getting a fine. I'm sure some shops will strip the converter, under the table. I did my exhaust myself. sounds G-R-R-E-A-T-T-T!!!!!!
Did you buy a kit or do you have access to pipe bender?
Right now I'm running a cat back system. Dual after the cat no mufflers. I guy I've been using for years did the job it sounds good but it's not as loud as some.
