Yellow Coolant ??'s
? If so, I would take it back and make them flush the system and replace the antifreeze. According the FORDs own documentation these are not compatible and should not be mixed! http://www.plaudersmilies.de/rough/twak.gif See the thread "Coolant for V-10" (http://www.ford-Trucks.com/dcforum/DCForumID43/2.html)in the FTE "V10" Message Board and the Thread "Coolant in 2002 F250 Superduty v10" (https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/superduty/2478.html) in the FTE "Superduty and Heavyduty" message board - to make a long story short:
You CANNOT mix the red/orange stuff with the Gold
You can probably mix the Green stuff with the Gold but it is not recommended to do so for now (until Ford completes its compatability testing)
The Ford part number for the gallon jug of the Gold stuff is VC-7-A (VC-7-B in Oregon, VC-7-C for a 55 gallon drum of the stuff). I got a gallon at the local dealership for approx. $8.
Eventually, Ford is putting this stuff in all of their vehicles
Valvoline (Zerex) makes the Gold stuff for Ford
It should be available in stores in the near future
When your Ford parts dept says they never heard of such and try to sell you the green or the red/orange, refer them to the Ford Modified Vehicle Engineering Bulletin (QVM Bulletin) No. Q-79 dated February 18, 2002 and TSB 02-3-4 referenced by that bulletin.
Hope this helps.....

My experience with the PSD's, before I bought one, was with my former employer. We had two, a 95 and a 97. Our construction crews ran them very hard, many drivers driving like they were running from the repo man. Both had almost 200K and were going strong when I left them. I bought a PSD intending it to last as long as two gas burners. Is expecting to get a relable 250K out of one unreasonable? Maybe I am just trying to justify the expense, well heck, my kids are grown and gone, got a good job, travel 1000 miles a week average, my current employer picks up the tab on my biz. travel.... and I JUST WANTED ONE

Hope no one minds the beginners questions, I have enjoyed reading the postings of those more experienced.
Thanks, Oneof6
Oneof6....I can't say for your truck, but mine was a yellow/gold color and he put in a few cups of orange and it left mine the yellow/gold color just darked. Just keep an eye on things and if anything happens you might have to try to prove that a dealership did it.
You can flush and fill with the conventional green coolant. It is not a long-life like the G05, but it is a straight conversion. No internals on the powertrains were changed to accomodate the Yellow.
