Need new heads

Does anyone have any recommindations or experience in head work on a 302. What would be the best money value for power. Also which ones would give me the most power.

The cheapest you will find is the GT40P heads. I have seen them for as little as $500 a pair assembled. They won't work with a lot of stock exhaust manifolds though because of a different angle on the spark plug hole. Without going up the ladder of cost, the E7TE heads, found on 87-95 Mustangs and many trucks, is a good choice. I don't know what the earlier heads have to offer though.

Best bang for the buck might come from home porting those heads.

or there are a couple of people with experience offering decent prices to do it for you.

this fellow has good prices as well, find his email on his website, as the price is a more direct quote if you ask directly and a fair price at that:

If you go with the ported stock, they will flow similarly to the gt-40p but you won't have to spend the extra $200 for special headers, and you may very well save a buck or two having them done by the last fellow. Just a thought, good luck
