the Euro headlights have come down in price alot in last 3 years. We have them in our 63 and 64 trucks. They were a worthwhile upgrade. Can be bought on Ebay for less than $30 now. Look for "diamond-cut ot Cat's-eye" lights. I strongly recommend using relays to power them. Look in the tech articles here to see how.

Buy name-brand headlamps if possible. Carello, Cibie, Bosch, Hella are a few brands available. You're looking for H4 lights, with the seperate bulb. The beam pattern, reflector and bulb wattage are all superior to sealed beams. Bolt-in replacement, but I will ditto the relay requirement.
Most have 55/65w bulbs. 55/80w is also available. I wouldn't go any bigger.
