Took my 2001 F250 5.4L Crew cab truck in for the 4th time in a year for a weird rattle, vibration, and thumping during initial take off. First three times they replaced fluid in the differential and said it would solve the problem and the noises were normal. The 4th time I took it to a different dealer and they replaced the entire drive shaft. The noise has been gone for 5 days now.
I know there have been a couple of post about this weird noise and maybe now Ford knows there is a problem and is finally fixing it.
