Ivanribic....
I noticed you are running close to the same setup as I am only a few years older! My 208 is leaking and has some problems...what all did you do to get a 205 under yours? think you could get some snap shots for me? I know i will have to get my d/s's lengthened/shortened but what else did you have to do to the crossmemeber, tranny-to-t-case adapter, etc, etc!
thanx man

The 205 was in the truck when I got it. I do not have a crossmember under it , just a mount on each side that bolts to the frame. I plan to add a skid plate later for a little more support and protection but it doesn't seem to need any help. I would imagine that you could fab the mounts very easily to fit your truck.
I can't tell you if the C-6 to 208 adapter is the same for a 205. If not they don't cost much at all and pop up on ebay from time to time (follow this link to check out a picture of the adapter http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2454090167 ).
Only other thing I can think of checking is that the splines are the same, which I think they would be as they'll make a transfer case fit the tranny, not the other way around.
I work out of town tomorrow but I'll crawl under the truck Wednesday and take a few pictures for you. From what I've read it should be a pretty simple switch. I just received my twin stick kit today so I'm planning to drop the case and install that next week. What fun!

Of course as I look at these pictures I notice I'm pissing fluid everywhere, transfer case, engine, diff. Can't wait to get that cleaned up.
See if these help you out any:
You can see the crossmember under the tail end of the tranny, right behind the adapter

Better view of the adapter itself

I misinformed you last night about needing 2 mounts. Mine has none on the passenger's side as it's supported by the transmission

Here's a view of the mounting bracket. This is on the driver's side of the truck

And one more of the whole set up from behind
