Sparkplugs
I replaced the plugs in my '97 F250, 5.4L at 68K miles.
Fortunately, the engine was out of the truck when I did it.
(That's another story.)
I know I put in platinum plugs, but can't remember whether they were "double" or not; nor can I remember what brand they were. (I know they weren't MotorCraft.) Maybe Bosch, maybe Autolite....I dun't remember!
Anywho, I gots 84K now on the ole odemeter, and I'm wonderin',
am I in for big trouble?

If you are concerned, I would go ahead and change them to the Motorcraft double platinums to be safe. It isn't the easiest job, but it is easier than pulling the engine if it were to happen.

The truck runs great.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

PS: Justin, thanks for the tip on the MAF, I did what you suggested, and the "check engine" light is off for now.
always stick with a stock replacement plug from your manufacturer (IE ac delco for GM and motorcraft for Ford)

Always come on here and ask your questions on the forums, there is alot of knowledgeable help, alot of stuff that a mechanic won't tell you because most of them are just seeing dollar signs when you bring your truck in.
I have saved myself thousands of dollars by asking questions on forums and fixing the problem myself.
