Does anyone know what year ford changed the f250/350 wheel studs from 8 x 6.5 to the newer metric of 8 x 165mm. I have a 1989 f350 4x4 which i recently put newer wheels/tires on and would like to transfer them to a 1995 f250.
If all you're doing is changing wheels, ABS won't be affected at all. If you changed tire sizes, you'll probably want to recalibrate your speedometer so it reads accurately though.
Thanks alot for your help. I am picking up the truck on the weekend (1995 F-250 4x4 460 supercab LB ) and the dealer is letting me swap my tires and wheels over. He is about 60 miles away so i am hoping to not have any problems with the change. The dealer that i brought the tires and wheels (not even 6 months yet) from has me concerned with the questions he is asking, which so far has you guys have answered the mechanical ones. Now if the final question will be determined when i try to swap them, are the tires to big?
thanks again
Has anybody ever put a lift kit in this type of truck?
How big are the tires? I fit 33x12.50's on my F350 4x4 stock suspension no problem, just moved front bumper forward about 2 inches. I have seen F350s with 35" tires and stock suspension as well.
I have a F350 4x4 now (1989 460, auto, 3:55's) with stock suspension. I just bought the wheels and tires about 6 months ago, outlaw 2's with 285/85/16's. these are about 34 inches tall, and from what i can find on the "net" the stock tire size on the 1995 F250 is 235/85/16, these are about 29 inches tall. I am not sure if there is enough space for mine to fit on the stock F250. (hoping there is).
If they do, any thought on a speed corrector controller? I see them on some sites for about a 160.00 dollars.
