Fleetside to Flareside

I just got a 98 2wd f-150 lariat extended cab short bed. I would like to switch the fleet to a flare side? To me this seems like a q that would get asked alot. I was wondering if this si possible if i just called up an autobody shop for prices got one ordered and they could take it off and but the flare on? If so let me know and if anyone knows where i could get some prices on the net even thanks

HI ryan_neal0019 and welcome to the forum

I'm not 100% positive but I believe the boxes are interchangeable without any problems. A good bodyshop might be able to tell you for sure.

Before I got my new Flareside truck, I looked at several used ones at a local Ford dealership. There were two same color trucks that their body shop guy said he could easily switch beds on, like you want to do. But, I didn't actually go through with it, so I don't know for sure if he was right.
