There are so many variables regarding fuel economy.

Well, I think that when I get a wiring diagnostic check on my fuelpump/sending unit, I think that it will do better but I just thought I'd ask if there may be something to do to help my fuel consumption problem.
holla!!

try a basic tune up plugs, wires, cap and rotor, air filter. and try to advance the timing a couple degrees. it will help with power and fuel econmy.

When your asking a question like that there's no way to know unless you provide info like: Engine Size, Rear gear ratio, Transmission, etc.

You might start with a tune up (plugs, wires, etc) if you havn't done one in a while.

I have a 93 F-150 with a 5.0 engine, an e40d trannie, and I was just told that I may have an 8.8 rear end. Even after a tuneup it still sucks the gas down like a dam has busted and the flood is going downhill.
holla!

increase if advanced and decrease when retarded. And have you pulled any codes on the truck. maybe a 02 sensor is bad and causing it to run rich.

No, I haven't pulled any codes and I never really thought about checking the 02 sensor. I live in the big city of Dublin, Ga., or as we like to call it, Dumblin.
holla!!

Try the search function please. A search under "gas mileage" will pull up a lot.

If you pre-start your vehicles to let them warm up in the winter that's why you get less MPG. You're really getting the same MPG, because you're not moving while it's idling to warm up. LOL
I have gotten 13.5 mpg once or twice in my truck, thats the best I can do.
