My 2000 F250 Is pretty much stock. No lift or anything. Will 315's fit without much trimming? I don't mind taking a little off the front bumper but don't want to touch the sheet metal. Anyone out there with 315's and stock ride hieght? If It can't be done guess I'll go with the 285's. Until I can afford to lift It. Thanks for the help.
FWIW, I run 35/12.5R16.5 on 16.5x9.75 wheels and while they fit fine on the street I can get them to rub quite easily off road.
Even for just street I'd recommend at least a leveling kit to fit 315/75R16s and that would be with 8" wide wheels.
I've seen 315/75R16s on stock trucks on the stock wheels before but they fit tight in there and rub on the springs..........and if you turn going over a bump or incline rub the inner plastic fender.....try and off road at all with that setup and tear some sheet metal up....
I run 315x75x16 on Ultra 16x8 and have about 1" clearance front & back, but I do rub a very little at the back at full lock. My tires are 34.6" tall. I plan on an Edge 2" mini spring pak in front and 4" blocks at the rear to replace the stock 2" block. I have V code front springs now.
Before I had to take my truck in to get a new engine put in I used to drive it with 315/75R16's on 10" wheels. With the 6.0 weight I had to add 3" of lift to keep the tires off of the fender and bumper. It rubbed real bad. With a V10 you may be able to get by but the weight of the oil burner made the front sag too much.
When ever the dealer gets around to getting my truck back I'll be able to enjoy the big tires again.....
I went with 305/70/R16 BFG Muds on 16x10 Eagles and they fit just fine. Looks really good. A little trimming on the inner fender. Thanks for the replies.
I have a 3.5" front lift, rear at stock. Running 315's. Some scraping on the front springs when full turn. Killed my gas mileage, though. Down about 2mpg, less torque.
I have 315/70-16 with 3.5 & 1" leveling kit
I had to trim front spoiler and running boards. They only rub in odd positions and not very often. maybe once A month

note there is about 500 lbs in back for winter at time of pictures
tires are on 16 x 10 eagle rims
