I don't know but if you want to add more stuff, use the ign switch to operate a relay. Then use the relay contacts for the load.

No I want to make a remote starter so I need the electrical systems requirements. and even so I would still need to know what size relay is necessary.

not a remote starter like on a key fob. One so that I can start or turn over the engine from under the hood.

Turning it over is easy, just wire a push button switch from +12 to the start solinoid S term. If you left the key in the ign on position, it would start when you pushed the switch.

Still how "big" does the push buton have to be? You kneed to know what the amp draw is or else there could be lots of smoke. And as we all know electrics run on smoke, if you let too much out they quit, lol. Also I want to beable to control wheather it will start or not from the engine bay, sometimes I just want to turn it over.

Hook your switch from point #3 to point #5. One of those universal horn switches are large enough and mount very easy.(the one that is silver metal with a black pushbutton in the middle).

thankyou for the help but that is not what I am asking. I know how to wire it up. I need to know what the load requirements for a switch between the positive and S terminal (point 5) on the solinoid.

Thanx, JJ

If you want the exact amp load, you are going to have to measure it. The only load will be the coil of the starter relay, and I have never measured it.

It is not big enough to worry about, probably a couple of amps.
