Not quite sure if we want 125 yet, I think we can strike a better deal on quantity for sure if we go to a smaller local place, the price is good though!

Thanks for checking!
10/4, This company is in Wichita, Ks. Let me know if I can help!!

I'm dropping the tornado suggestion. No where to really put it in the current design. I would however, like to see the blue oval displayed somewhere in the artwork.

I like what you have. It looks great and represents the old and the new.

Good work Mitch

I may be mistaken but I think by putting the blue oval in it that you will run into a copyright issue with FOMOCO. Would really hate to see their wrath!! LOL

Good point Mark. I think they allow it in most cases as long as there is no profit from useing it. But it should be checked out to make sure.

Sorry Mark, I don't want to sound sarcastic but you are joking, right? Calvin P's on the oval and Ford doesn't say a word. Calvin P's on a Bowtie and chebbie say's nada. I don't think incorporating a blue oval inside a Ford based club sticker is going to get us sued. Besides, it is a corporate logo more than a registered, copyrighted trademark. I think copyright infringement is only applicable if you market a like product (we are not manufacturing vehicles) and try to use the logo/mark as a knock off.

If you are that concerned about it, then don't "sell" the club sticker. Give them away as part of a membership package when the member "donates" to the club. You can buy blue oval decals anywhere, I don't think Ford police's how they are used.

Take this post in the spirit in which it is intended. Which is friendly, with a differing opinion. Phill Kline is a friend of mine (atty general of KS) I would be more than happy to call him and get his thoughts if it would help.

On edit: I just went to the website, copyright.gov and did a little research on infringment of copyright. It would not apply in this case, by definition of the copyright laws of the United States. If anyone has a concern about this, check out this website:

There is also an issue that some sticker places won't make something if it means copying a logo like that. I had to do some bodywork one time and replace a factory sticker, and it was going to be cheaper to have a knockoff made. But then they said they couldn't do it for the above reason.

Good post Hang 10, I think that, even if there is no law against it, it would be the right thing to get permission from Ford. This is the largest Ford Truck site on the internet and I think that they would look kindly on something like that. Also, who knows, doing the right thing has a way of making it's way back to you, you know.

If you want to take that kind of time. There is no law against it. It is very doubtful that Ford would ever notice a few guys in the middle of nowhere, running around with little blue ovals placed in a little window sticker, even if it were not legal. Not trying to sound argumentitive, I just don't see the reason. Do you have written assurance from Dennis that it's okay to use the FTE logo? Should we get the Governor to okay it that we are going to use the word 'Kansas' and have an outline of the state on the sticker? Maybe we should call Ford and ask if we can use the name Ford in the line "Ford Truck Enthusiasts". While we're at it, there is a depiction of Ford trucks within the FTE logo, maybe Ford should okay those too. Yes, I know, I am going overboard. I am just trying to illustrate a point. Just leave the oval out then if it is going to cause worry.

All I'm talking about is a letter to Ford. I don't think that would take all the much time. And who knows, maybe just the fact that the letter was written might put FTE in a better light with them. It was just a suggestion, and you're absolutly right, you did go overboard IMO.

I dunno, I think a Ford Oval would look good...

Bargod, if you think you can make it happen, hell, go for it.... what harm could come of it?? lol, Ford insisting us to shut down the club and never speak of the Ford name again?? no, the worst that could happen is that they would say "no" even thought I doubt they would. They'll probably think good upon this club knowing that we have the respect for the company to take the time and make sure they approve of our idea (even though its nothing big).

But That's just my $.02
