QUALITY is job what?
Thought that those of you who haven't seen this months Truck Trend, there's an article with the above caption that says......Ford has hit another quality snag, this time with oil seepage on '99-'01 F-150, Super-Duty F-series, Expeditions, Econolines, and Lincoln Navigators equipped with the 5.4L Triton V-8. The driveway staining oil leak is said to be caused by defective head gaskets. The truckmaker is spending up to $4500.00 per unit to replace complete engines, while most are estimated to run $800.00 to replace the cylinder heads and gaskets. The four truck lines accounted for 1.3 million vehicle sales, and about 20 percent of those were equipped with the 5.4. This is a direct quote from Truck Trend's article. I know that recently there have been some of us indicating that our trucks are using too much oil. I thought this might be useful to anyone experiencing this problem.

QUALITY is job what?
I saw the article, but leaking head gaskets on the 5.4L engine is really old news. I was suprised to see it read like the leaks had just been announced. Perhaps Ford is just now admitting it.
