pyrometer mounting location
I have a quick question about mounting location for the pyrometer probe. Most kits seem to direct installation into the Turbo down pipe or the exhaust manifold, but another site suggests the probe shoiuld be placed berfore the turbo. I'm a bit confused. I had planned on adding the gauges to my truck before I mess around with any other mods so I can keep an eye on things. I'm about ready to add the 3" turbo down pipe and eliminate the muffler and cat. Thanks for the help guys!!

It is best to install it in the manifold. The downpipe is Post turbo and temps can vary 300 Degrees from Pre Turbo. Most everyone Installs it in the drivers side Manifold almost to the rear There is a Nice spot to drill and tap.
