New shocks
Anyway turns out that he only had 2 in stock and would have to order the other 2 - so he puts on the back 2 and leaves the front as-is.
Now my take on that is "Eh, so what, I'll come back and do the fronts in a week or two." Now I'm driving my truck and it feels really strange - the front is soft and cushy and the back is stiffer than a board. So much so that I'm thinking a kidney belt is in order for my daily trips down I-5.
Will this ease up somewhat when the front shocks are replaced or will my truck be ready for 4 wheelin' with shocks so stiff the rims will bend before the leaf springs compress?
And what's the deal with the 2000 Ranger 2wd having only one recommended shock style? I was talking it over with the guy and he's looking at the types suggested by Ford and he's scratching his head 'cause only one kind is suggested from 1996 to 2003 no matter what the transmission type.
