Currently, I am the moderator for the Heating and Cooling Forum and I do not moderate a chapter. I would be happy to help out here though.
My question is: Have any of you ever heard of Ford Truck World website? Just curious as to how many of the current members here have heard of or were once part of the that web site.
I read it before I found FTE. I hardly ever
look at it now, FTE is so much better.

FTE was started in 1996, several years before them. There are only three other truck sites that were on the scene before us, none of them Ford sites: www.truckworld.com,www.pickuptruck.com and www.classictrucks.com (they folded and the domain name now belongs to Classic Trucks magazine). The F150 Online site started a little bit after ours (though they obtained a "vanity" domain before we did). There's a lot of history with the "old timer" sites that users on newer sites may not know about.... pretty interesting reading: https://www.ford-trucks.com/history.html
FTE is the largest Ford truck community on the Internet and is still a family run operation (though we have hired a few others to help). One thing you'll find here is the level of technical knowledge is great --- we discourage post padding and hopefully that means you have less fluff to wade through (though we do have a General Conversation area for off-topic and the Pig Pen area for politics/religion).
Also, I encourage our users not to badmouth other sites here, and so far you haven't. When badmouthing a site on another forum instead of taking it directly to the site owner it tends to speak more about the person airing the dirty laundry than the site itself.

Please only hit post once. The server will respond as soon as possible.
If you are looking for something there is also some info in the MO forum that may be of interest.
I've had this happen to me as well. Hit reply and it took over a minute before it showed up. By then I had posted a different response. Someday I'll learn to be patient.

Thanks for the response. Like it was mentioned before, we are a peaceful bunch for the most part. LOL Ya gotta watch out for Mitch and Jon, they are the real renagades!!! J/K guys, I know ya better than that.
I'm here!! of course just like the "OTHER" site, I don't have an F-Series, I have an Explorer. Oh well, I don't care, I love F-Series, and love to learn and help as much as possible. So hi to Mitch and John, I'm behind you all the way!!
Thanks for the little history on your site. None of will be bad mouthing any other site, the one we came from was a big part of our lives and is what brought us together. None of us coming over to this site are the type to bash another site. There was a falling out due to treatment of a member and if you need more info I am sure you can email Mark or I for more information. I think you will find we will bring alot to this site and hope to gain alot. From what I see so far this is going to be a great fit for all of us. We will do you right and proud. You will begin to see how tight and close Kansas members are. Thanks for all the welcomes from everyone and I look forward to more good times ahead.
