(i'll be in the driveway but will check back frequently)
also thanks to all for your responses on "considerations for new owner of an old truck" posting of a few days ago. i added a thread and got fewer (but still great) responses. is it generally better to start a new thread?
thanks again!
EDIT:
i just noticed the 72 390 question about wire placement below.
#1 on the cap to the right of the back (facing the engine) clip?
If the topic is on one thing then ,No,it is better to just go find that thread and bump it up to the top, instead of starting another thread.
On multiple topics it is best to have its own thread.
Having a couple of topics that are associated with each other is okay in one thread.
Having 3+ ?'s in one thread is stretching the the feedback too thin, therefore, create other threads .
one thing i have noticed quite a bit it doesnt matter in the slightest where you drop in the dist. as long as the rotor is aimed at a post you can just pop o the wires in order from that point and it will run fine. so dont stress about dropping it in perfectly li9ned up with whre (the book) has it illustrated.
thanks Stepside , figured it out. and then I drove her to Bisbee! (from CA). went by an autoparts store in SV to get a heater core. thanks again for the reply!
