Replace bed, Panels or what?

My 89 F150 has been looking pretty bad lately, well the other week i did this to it

Anyway as you can see my ride is looking pretty bad, the paint is chipping off pretty badly all over, no matter what i do to it. I was thinking about just putting on a new bed since the other side is rusting/ shipping away too and looking bad. Do you think i should do this or just replace the side panels? Any idea how much another bed would cost? I hate the way all the paint is chipping away and rusting because we have had it since new and kept it cleaned and waxed to no avail. I guess if its too expensive i will drive it like that, even though i hate to. it does have 167, 000 miles on it and i was saving up my money to buy a car to drive during the summers so i could keep some miles off this truck.

Unfortunatly I would have to say replace the bed. Unless your real good at pulling dents.

You can find decent beds in salvage yards & some can be rust free depending on your location. You can check www.car-part.com to search salvage yards in your area.

Beds can be rather expensive though, I've seen them priced from $75.00-$1500.00. It all depends on the condition of the bed.
