how much for an E4OD?

how much for an E4OD?
Anyone know about how much a good used E4OD for a '90 F150 runs? I checked Jasper trans. for a remanufactuered one and they are pricey($2300). My Lariat is about ready for one. Slipping some when downshifting into low gear. --Jack

BTW the tranny is slipping and grinding when downshifting at low speeds, like after turning or pulling into a parking lot. If a let off the gas for a sec it will go into gear. It drives fine at highway speeds. Maybe someone knows a cheaper fix for this. I just figured at 263k mi it was time for another trans but it might be hard to find a good used low miles tranny for a '90 mdl.--Jack

Try, phoenixhardparts.com I bought one from them about 6 months ago. I have had no problems so far. By the time I had them put a shift kit, upgraded the converter and shipping it was $1500. they are on ebay starting at $950. If you go to ebay just put, E4OD in the search and they will come up.
