Ok, what is y'alls all time favorite mod that you have done to your truck? Mine would be between the lift, tires, traction bars, or diablo chip.. but when it comes down to it it is the lift cause that is what makes it so much fun to drive.
So what is yours?
Abendx.. don't go saying how your *** is your favorite! And Yeti - don't say abendx's *** is your favorite either, cause that is just not right.
I'd have to say the 4" lift. It completely changes the looks of a 2WD. Improved the ride 200% too. I'm not sure if it was the better shocks or the new coils. (Those shameful coils! How could I even own a truck with a front coil setup?)
2nd favorite is between the aluminum wheels and the new leather seat. Both of these dressed up my XL a good bit.
hey 02superstroker. can you give me some detailts on making your own traction bars. like what did you use to mount them and lengths ect. i would like to build my own aswell.
Best mod........since it takes one mod to make another, I guess I would have to go with the lift also. Seems like it is the one thing that has the biggest visual impact.
Badford- no problem.. i will try to get some pictures taken and posted on here - - i will take close up photos on everything then tell ya all about it.
4" lift, with 35" tires. And running a very close second are the water proof, bomb proof, seat covers, front and rear...with a 2.5 y.o., and a 4.5 y.o., they have literally saved the truck on a daily basis.
hey just-brian.. what brand seat covers do you have? I got some of thes wet keholi (or however you spell the second word) neopreme covers and love them.. they are comfy and seem to be durable we shall see.
my fav mod would have to be my Auburn rear end, the thing just continues to impress me.... It live up to all its expectations.. It aint no locker but it aint meant to be......
BADFORD.. i had my trac bars fabbed to.. i had a weld shop just copy pro comps design, but make them a foot longer.. they look just as good, had them powder coated to match the rest of my lift parts, and still saved money over the pro-comps....... anyway Order the pro comp traction/ladder bar mounting kit.. it will come with the uppper brackets to bolt on frame and lower braket that goes under the spring pack and a complete set of poly bushings, ... the kit is like $100 but then you can fabb bars to fit up real easy.. course theres many ways to fab your own brackets too, might save more money!
