So i'm reading my march '04 classic truck mag. and i get to the end and theres a '66 Custom cab...i'm like "right on" and then i get to the part where it says "bored and stroked 425 FE". is there such a thing?
a 390 with a 428 crank and a .070 overbore also gets you 425ci, but i dought theres to many people that take a 390 to .070 overbore, im guessing either a typo or the combo greg suggested.
it also could have been bored to 400 SBC 4.125 bore then used with a 428 crank. who knows, maybe it was 452 FE which would have been the 427 bored to 4.25 with a 428 crank which is a fairly common configuration, and a stocked piston most of the time.
