Rec'd Call from Ford

I got a call today from the Ford people in response to the complaint I lodged through the 313-322-3000 hit 0 then 0 again number we have been calling.

The girl seemed genuinely concerned about the issues and stated she will be taking my concerns and questions to the tech guru's and call me back within a week with their responses.

I asked her about the PI situation..Will it be brought back.

I asked her if there were any planned flashes to specifically address PI and/or the tow haul mode downshift they took out with the Dec flash.

I also stated my discontent with the fact that my fuel mileage has dropped from 17mpg to 11.

I will post her comments when I receive them.

At least it seems like our concerns are moving up the ladder and getting to the right people and maybe just maybe something will be done sooner rather than later.

Hey, Outwest

Lets try Hard to keep people dialing that number. I also have had several conversations and replies from ford. Duncan called me today and informed, that there was a reduction in trans break not total removal not sure what that really means. He also said that they were thinking the latest flash improved fuel mileage. It has nocked me down approximately 3 gpm. He said he would let the tech’s know.

I think it will be in the best interests of all 6.0 owners to call, call, call. The more the merrier. Please have everyone you know or everyone that writes in to this forum with problems call, it will help. The one message I keep getting is that they are not aware of these type problems and that many owners are concerned.

Thanks
Lance

Can we say, because of a forum such as this one ?????

Would the above perception suggest that the problems reported to the dealers, are not being passed along , up the ladder...??? This maybe something to consider ...... the dealerships not passing along customer concerns.......

Just a Thought..............My Perceptions......

I think that it is a reflex response to say that htey have not heard any complaints about their product. They don't want you thinking that they know about a problem but are not doing anything about it. When I took my truck in for the flash, I mentioned the injector issue and the service manager said that noboby had brought it up with him before and he had to relace any.
If one of us were selling a product and we were asked if there were alot of complaints about it we would probly say "of course not, it works great". and when was the last time you ordered a meal at a resturant and the waitress said "don't get that it is terrible" my guess is never. Bottom line Ford does not want us to know about other peoples problems with their trucks because then we will second guess thier quality, that is why forums like this are so important, strength in numbers. So don't just call the number tell other ford truck owners you meet about this website so they will join the fight. I know I am rambling on so I will end this post. Just my .02c

Know = Having personal & direct knowledge....

I mentioned the injector issue and the service manager said that noboby had brought it up with him before and he had to relace any
Now there is a "credibility" issue.

Bottom line Ford does not want us to know about other peoples problems with their trucks because then we will second guess thier quality,
It is a little late for that now; and to continue that approach simply distroys their credibility. Once that begins to happen, it can take years to recover. Simply put, not a good PR effort.
