you won't notice a whole lot of power gains but you will notice crisp throttle and WAY easier start-ups. i put a 6al on my winsor and gained about 1.8-2.2 mpg, don't know what it will do on a 300-6 but if your like me all the help you can get is good.

Fordnut, do you have durasprark or? I have TFI on my 86 efi 302 and I got a 6A for it. I still havn't put it on. Some people say that I shouldn't bother with the TFI, others say it's still an improvement.

mine WAS a duraspark, i eliminated the ignition module alltogether and just use the MSD box. I did install one on a buddies thick film setup and it worked great, a piece of advice, msd offers pigtails to adapt the msd box to the tfi ignition module and are well worth the money. you can eliminate the tfi module alltogether but the boys at msd said it is better just to use it in conjunction with the msd box. i can't remember if the instructions that came with the msd unit had a diagram for the TFI setup but they did for mine and they were easy to follow, you shouldn't have too many probs. good luck to ya
